History
Founded in Leeds in 1987 by the merger of two Yorkshire civil engineering firms, Albion built much of the Northern rail upgrade of the 2000s and is now one of the country's largest public works contractors.
Operations
The company works in construction and engineering. Its stated approach is to win large transport, school and justice building contracts. Bid sensibly rather than cheaply, and keep a strong balance for big projects.
